An earlier version mishandled the ampersand in the city's own name and quietly broke two of the three sources; that is fixed and re-confirmed against the live sites, which is why it took slightly longer to offer than the other nine.

Not if you don't want it to. Basic mode scores every listing with deterministic rules and needs no LLM account of any kind. Add your own API key — or use an existing Claude/ChatGPT CLI subscription — and the default model (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite) reads each listing properly instead, priced per listing rather than a flat monthly fee: about £1.20 per 1,000 listings the LLM reads, so it's roughly £2/month in Manchester, and £10-£20+/month in London, which has far more listings to read. Google's free tier can cover a smaller city's scan entirely, though it's less likely to stretch across London's volume. A spend cap you set stops it there — no surprise bills.

Completely — there's no cloud account for your search to live on. Everything runs on your own Mac: your listings, ratings and preference profile stay in a local SQLite database that never touches our servers, and anonymous usage telemetry is opt-in and off by default.

Fast. Minutes, for a smaller city. For a large one — London especially — the very first backfill scan can take 1-2 hours while it works through everything currently listed, but every run after that is seconds, since it only has to read what's new.

You're told, not left guessing. Alerts from that one source pause until a fix ships — not silently, and not forever. Portals change their markup without notice, and when that breaks a scraper, the fix goes out as a check-and-notify app update: you click to install, nothing happens automatically in the background.
