Acceptable Use Policy
This policy covers how CasaFinder interacts with third-party listing websites, and what you’re responsible for as the person running it.
Who we are

What the app actually does
CasaFinder reads publicly visible listing pages from Rightmove, OnTheMarket and SpareRoom from your own computer, at a low, deliberately slow rate — in the same way you would if you were browsing them yourself. It does not create accounts, log in, or submit anything on those sites. It does not solve CAPTCHAs, rotate proxies or IP addresses, or use any technique intended to defeat a site’s anti-automation measures. Zoopla is not read at all — it blocks automated access outright, and we don’t attempt to work around that.
In this sense CasaFinder is a neutral tool, similar in kind to a web browser or an RSS reader: it fetches pages a website has made publicly available, and it is the person running it — you — who decides which sites to query and how often.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for making sure your use of CasaFinder complies with the law and with the terms of service of any website you use it against. Different websites take different positions on automated access, and those positions can change. If a site you rely on changes its terms in a way that concerns you, that is a decision for you to make about your own use, not something we can advise you on.
You must not modify, reverse-engineer, or combine CasaFinder with any other tool in a way intended to bypass a website’s access controls, rate limits, or anti-automation measures — including CAPTCHA-solving services or IP rotation/proxy tools. Beyond breaching this agreement, that kind of circumvention can itself be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, entirely independent of any contract between us.
Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us arising from how you specifically used CasaFinder — for example, a website alleging you breached its terms, or used the software in a way this policy prohibits — you agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses and costs that directly result. This doesn’t apply to claims arising from how we built or described the software itself, only from how you chose to use it.
If a source stops working
Listing websites change their layouts and protections over time. If CasaFinder stops being able to read a source, we treat that as a finding to report honestly, not something to work around by more aggressive means. See the Terms of Service for what that means for the software you bought.
